No More Balancing, Crouching, Stretching, Or Racing Back To Beat The Camera Timer!
The last year and a half has seen a boom in the use of the internet and gadgets for communication. Because we are unable to meet colleagues, friends, and family physically, we have been using our phones like never before to keep in touch. Video calls are extremely common, be it for work or to connect with our loved ones. Surprisingly my parents haven’t really picked up on this trend except to video call me on WhatsApp for a few minutes. So when my cousin recently turned 60 (which by the way is a big milestone and celebrated in South Indian culture), the family decided to shoot videos wishing him and put it together as a surprise for him. Here is what I liked about the product
- It is a single product with multiple functions – a selfie stick, tripod & a blue tooth clicker.
- It is collapsible & lightweight. I can easily carry it around in my purse or even pocket if I want to use it when I travel. When closed, it fits nicely into your palm.
- It is easy to set up. There is no need to assemble the product as it is one single piece. The bluetooth clicker is obviously detachable and you can pair it to your phone within seconds when using it for the first time. Apart from that, mounting the camera is also quite easy and takes only 2-3 seconds to pull the slot and fix the camera. When you want to use the tripod function, you just need to unfold the legs…also done in a couple of seconds.
- You can adjust the height of the stick to suit your requirement. The basic height is about 10 inches and it can be extended to approximately 2 feet. This versatile height adjustment along with the rotatability of the camera slot makes it good for shooting videos from different angles, handling video calls, live broadcasting or just taking pictures.
I found the stick and the tripod to be quite sturdy and stable, despite being lightweight. I have used it for video calls – both with friends & for work. Earlier I had to carry my laptop if I wanted to be hands-free during the call and didn’t want to risk balancing the phone against any other object. I probably take one of the worst selfies. That is why this is such a blessing. I can easily carry it and set it up anywhere and take a pic peacefully with the Bluetooth clicker.

This just supports mobile phone and is too lightweight to take on a camera. But I did see many other sturdier ones….you can buy a clicker separately too in that case.

I have a tripod that is for DLSR and making phone set on it also good but it is so huge that I need to drag it and adjust it each time. This stick looks so short and great for table top for sessions, adding it to my cart soon.
